The yard

A yard that runs on a weighbridge, not a handshake

We started buying scrap the old way — at the gate, by eye. Today every kilo is weighed, every lot is graded and photographed, and the price is set by buyers bidding against each other. Sellers get the market, buyers get the truth.

  • Licensed weighbridge on site
  • Pickup vehicles for large lots
  • Settlement by bank transfer with a slip

Questions we get asked

Selling

Who sets the price?

The buyers do — your lot is auctioned and the highest bid wins. The rate board is only a guide.

How is my material weighed?

On the yard's weighbridge, in front of you if you drop off. You keep the slip; the lot page shows the same weight.

When do I get paid?

After the winning buyer pays — typically within two working days of the close, minus the commission we agreed at intake.

Do you collect?

For larger lots, yes. Tell us the location and quantity in the sell form and we'll quote the pickup.

Buying

Why do I need approval to bid?

So every bid comes from a real, reachable business. Register with your phone and a few details; the yard approves you, usually the same day.

Can I inspect before bidding?

Yes — every lot is at the yard. Call to book a visit or use the photos and weighbridge details on the lot page.

What happens if I win?

You get an order and a secure payment link the moment the auction closes. Pay, then lift from the yard or arrange transport.

Is my maximum bid visible?

Never. Your maximum stays private — the system bids for you only as much as needed, one step at a time.

Got material sitting idle?

Send us the details in two minutes. We'll call, collect and put it in front of buyers who compete for it.
